So....Spring Break is almost over....Why does it seem like these breaks always go by way too fast?? I did a lot of driving this week -- drove six hours up north to Cupertino on Saturday after my final, then Sunday drove another six and a half to Arcata. Oh my god. I'm absolutely in love with Humboldt. It is GORGEOUS here!!! The drive up was unbelievable, the views are spectacular...I am in love with Arcata. It's been fun hanging out with Josh, he showed me the entire downtown within the first half hour of my arrival...but I love how small it is. The campus is pretty nice, trees everywhere. It really is unbelievable, especially compared to Riverside and what I'm used to. There are like eight recycle bins for every 1 garbage here. I saw an old friend from high school, too, whom I haven't seen in a little while. He just transfered up here at the beginning of the semester, and he's really enjoying it. Josh and I are are going back down to San Jose tomorrow since they have a three day weekend. I think Cory and CJ (Josh's housemates) are staying up here -- I don't blame them. So....I'll be back in Cupertino tomorrow evening-ish, and then back in Riverside on Saturday. Hope y'all are having as amazing a Spring Break as I am!!

P.S: Yes, the weed is absolutely better here. And if you didn't give me any money (which nobody did), then no, I am not bringing some back for you.

PPS: It's really weird "living" in a house with three boys...Never again.

01:56 am - School :-(

So....The assignment is a 6-8 page paper about pretty much anything we want, as related to cognitive development. I've the assignment for about two weeks, and I've had the research for about one week; ample time to pop a squat at my computer and bust out a really good project. This paper is due in my discussion tomorrow morning at 8. I sat down to BEGIN writing my paper at about 9:30 this evening. Often times when I have a paper to write I won't start it until two days before it's due, and I won't actually do it until the night before it's due, starting around 10 o'clock. I never have any problem, never usually get anything lower than a solid B. I used to think I worked well under a time-crunch like that, because no matter what I was always able to find something to say.

So my thoughts tonight are, why is it that when I have such a broad prompt to go off of, I get a semi-early start, and I have everything I need (sans an outside source), I find myself with barely anything more than the introduction at 11:20??? (Granted it is now quarter to two in the morning, and I am almost done.)

I had thoughts of quitting school today. Just saying peace out and withdrawing. I was frustrated that I was sitting at my computer for two hours not getting anything written, tired of having to write all these damn papers to begin with (I'm not even in grad school yet), mad because I couldn't find any useful articles, angrier because my computer decided it didn't want to let me read Adobe/PDF files anymore, and just damn tired from life. I have had my parents, my classmates, and my sisters tell me they have no idea how I manage, that I have way too much on my plate. And I'm beginning to think they are right....

However, realistically, since I'm not going to drop out of school, I wanted to change my major to math. Yes, I am not so good at math, but math majors don't have to write any papers. Or english, because english majors don't have to write the same KIND (read: research) papers.

But then just as I was about to give up, I found the perfect article to use in my paper. And the farther along I got in the reading, the more interested I became, until I remembered that THIS is why I chose to be a psychology major.

I don't really know the point of this entry, other than the fact that it's distracting me and keeping me from finishing up that paper, but I do want to say, that if anyone has any ideas of how I can stop procrastinating, for the love of god TELL ME, because it's unhealthy, and it's detrimental to my grades and my beauty sleep :-(

So...I found out that my friend's roommate is in the Playboy College Edition, and I got kinda jealous. I'd always had the thought of posing for playboy in the back of my mind...you know, somethings that's there, but you're not really serious about.

But hearing that her roommate was topless, and that her friend was posed suggestively without giving off the goods....I will admit that I became slightly jealous.

So....Now that I'm beginning to go to the gym on a regular basis anyway, I think I'm going to work extra hard to get in shape, lose the unsightlyness, and apply to pose for Playboy (I already looked up how to go about that....).
